But, a couple of thoughts came to me. One was that with the
unusually warm weather we've been having this winter, the
planting season is probably going to be early.

Ok, so that's to be expected. So, once planted, I won't be able
to hunt my "field of dreams". That's ok, there's always next winter.

Then, I had a HORRIBLE thought! What if they plant CORN!!! YIKES!

So, off I went on another dream filled hunt. Maybe, just maybe,
I can get one more memory out of there, just in case. :dontknow:

Alas and alack, for 4.5 hours I roamed. It was a good day, just
didn't have any finds worth having, until, I had......basically given
up and turned to "go back to the car". LOL!

No, I didn't fall into a honey hole and reap riches galore. LOL
BUT! I did get a couple things that has made this place so
special to me.

Not the least of which was this one:

2017 (179).jpg

You guys suffered my long posts for a long time.
Thought I'd just cut to the chase this time. :)

2017 (172).jpg
2017 (173).jpg
2017 (176).jpg

2017 (174).jpg

Ya know, I must have been listening closer
than I realized to be pulling these small targets.

2017 (175).jpg

When I saw this side of this I said to myself
that even though I may not be able to identify
it exactly, I KNEW it was something I have NEVER
found before! And at this late stage, "firsts" are
VERY special to me! :)

2017 (177).jpg

But after it's bath at home, I still couldn't
ID it but, I could see that there were several
clues available that should be more than enough
for the experts here to be able to give me almost
chapter and verse on this! (characters at about
11, 1 and 7 o-clock). And THAT makes me
very happy to be here!

2017 (178).jpg

Seems that the crew is happy as well.

I know I am! :)

Thanks for peeking folks and for all your support!

Definite Spanish silver!!

about what size is it?

I thought the ruler above it would give an indication, but yeah, about the size of a dime and thin as a razor!

That is the most beautiful BTTC find that I have seen, Whadi, big fat congratulations! Finding a Spanish silver is a pipe dream for this ol' hillbilly in the Ozarks (Even though Spaniards crawled all over this area mining silver...) Happy Hunting! Sub 8-)

You certainly are finding some if your favorite things, old silver coins!
Congrats on your first 1/2 real!

Guess your choice of hunting places was the right one.
Those OTWBTRC finds are amazing!

I'm guessing you have finders rights to the Spanish silver, those two will just have to covet something else 😊

Looks like spanish silver to me, if it's the size of a quarter than maybe a 1/2 real? Sweet find Whadi.
