Hey bud, I really appreciate that. The condition was quite surprising since the look after it was dug showed chipped edges and flaking. Luckily being near the street at this site meant it was away from the farm field. Phew.
And thanks for the Banner Vote Brad!

Congratulations. So nice to have the hook and loop on the back and better yet not bent. That's a real gem you have there. Welcome to the club

You said early 18s. I vote banner I've never seen one like it amazing find hh gl
Thanks C-Dawg. We've dug so many heartbreakers together; liberty caps, capped, and early buttons, only to find they're toast. It happens bro. But every once in a while we score big. None better than that 1750's 8-reale you blew us away with. Lol
Cheers bud, and thanks for that banner vote.

Square artillery plate...and with the DEUS no less (what would your CTX think of you Steve). Incredible dig buddy, one that would be at the center of any serious relic hunters collection. BANNER inbound

I'm a big softie for completeness, awesome patina, and something that isn't posted every other weekend.
I'm addicted to brake fluid and feel I can stop at any time.

They don't come out much better than that! Awesome find Steve. You did a wonderful job with the cleaning and now you have a killer early plate for the display. If I can figure out how to nominate banner from my I phone my vote is in.
