I wish all days could be like this. Took off work to hit some fields before the cold returns and eventually planting begins. First field was where I found the 1600s button and 1810 LC. Got a few flat buttons, IHP, small early buckle, toasted colonial copper and the real nice half dime.

I then went and got some lunch and decided to hit a field that Ive had permission for for a while. In the past I had focused on a section I hoped had 19th century activity but that had never panned out. This time I decided to try another rise in the field and that was where the fun began. First target was a KG II:headbang: I then noticed brick, pottery and oyster shell everywhere. Ended up digging 3 more as well as all the usual suspects on a colonial site. Oddly, not many buttons though. Im hoping the silver cufflink is colonial as it is definately not a usual suspect. The site seems pretty large so I may be here for a while

Fantastic hunt, I'd love to get on a site like that. That cufflink is killer and I would estimate that it dates 1750-1760, since we have found similar ones on French & Indian War sites.

Thanks. I have found nothing from this site that dates post revolution other than the three ringer and a little modern trash from farmers/hunters
