I made my first attempt checking a CoinStar tray today. I could see roundness in the hole.. Well Technically it was round in the tray. When I dug it out I knew there just had to be Silver.... Well not really unless you count modern clad as silver. Also so nasty pennies and a Buffalo Nickle.... Well Technically A Buffalo but not the kind we like to find. Just a modern one. Hey at least I found .54 Cents and I will be checking other for sure. Thanks for looking!

Also, always check the feeder tray! I have found four or five silver dimes in the very corner (closest to you when facing the machine) of the feeder tray. :icon_thumright:

Wait, I am trying to understand this.

You are checking the return trays in coin sorting machines?

Not the bags of coins that have been added to the machines, but stuff stuck in the return tray?

Is that what this is about?

The Coinstar Machines have a Reject tray at the bottom where non coin, foreign coin, damaged coins or silver and no longer minted coins end up after sorting. People don't realize some of their coins are there when they are done and leave them for me to find!

You must have been devastated when coin operated payphones went out.

Glad for the rebound...
