I love those early one piece buttons much more than the later two piece buttons. And the ones you're finding are in such great shape. Makes me wonder about the nature of the camp since you have found both War of 1812 buttons (script A and CORPS) and 1820s buttons (US wreath and Convex eagle A).

Those buttons are among my favorite military of all time. I've found a ton of 1812 pewters but only one script RA brass. That's an amazing site. The condition is outstanding! I have a couple of sites with similar soil that I've pulled gorgeous early coppers from. They are damn hard to find.

you should ask those things in private messages not for the world to see , sites are very hard to come by these days.

Camp...I'd say your on an old fort or muster site- buttons date from War of 1812-1830s. Had a site like your's that produced 10 early military pewters...haven't found another like it since. Incredible pile of early militaria

Thanks for the invite to your field of dreams! You guys found a really special site and I am still shocked at how small the main core is!!! It just means you dont have to walk across 200 acres all day to find a few relics!!:hello2: 35 miltary buttons? Thats insane!!!
