I went to a local ball field today and had a better day than I would have ever thought. About my third hit I got a 82 hit. Not too far down 20170320_100236.jpg I found silver. Getting home and a little cleaning this showed up 20170322_154121.jpg 20170322_154757.jpg . On top of the ring I had a nice day with coins. We had thunderstorms last night and that may contributed to the amount of coins I found on top of the ground or very near it. I found one spot with 6 quarters within 10 feet of each other. 20170322_154859.jpg I also found a button but could not read it.

I am not sure as to age mate. The ball field I found it at has been there since the 1960s but I haven't been able to find out a lot about the ring. The ring was only 4 or 5 inches down but from reading posts by our other forum members that doesn't mean too much.

Looks like you're passing the mid tones. When you have worked that area real well and believe you have pulled the majority of high tone keepers, go out and dig a TON of nickel/pull tab signals. You may get a gold surprise....hope you do!
Nice job on the "penny signal" silver ring. I don't believe it's very old but it's still silver!

Any time you find silver it's a good hunt; no matter how small.
