I have been traveling for work this week, I'm in Chicago right now. However before I left on Sunday, I managed to slip out for a little hunt. It went back to the latest permission, which is about 15 acres of torn down houses. So far the other boys and I have found 20 silver coins there. Nothing really killer, but any shiny coin is good enough for me.

As usual, I dug a bunch of coins, and even more trash!

You know when you dig a Jefferson, and it has any silver at all showing, Check for the big mint mark. War nickel!

There is a place where there are iron nails and lots of trash. The other boys missed three silver dimes there the other week. I was digging everything. I got a mixed signal, dug a big hole, it had a quarter, three nickels and a hand full of cents in it, along with some trash... and this Mercury dime. Don't be afraid to dig trash!

All total, nine wheaties and two silvers. I went home with a feeling of satisfaction of a job well done, and a smile on my face.

Thanks for looking and best of luck on your hunts!

Well played, Tom! I'm with ya....any silver makes the hunt successful,

BTW, The T shaped item at 11 o'clock in the first pic is a drummers key/drum lug wrench.

Thanks for sharin'!

Good job buddy. Awesome to see spring coming in and this awful winter getting behind us. We still have lots of snow here but it can't last forever
