Had beautiful weather and plenty of sites to hunt. Got plenty of sun, exercise and fresh air. Hunted off and on all day and couldn't fine one piece of silver. Still, I wouldn't trade the experience for anything.

In the last few months I have found enough silver for a lifetime, but every hunt I can get in is one more under my belt. Wound up with another Hot Rod And a pocket knife. A neat head stamp and plenty of change. It was a good day of detecting.

Till next time. Happy hunting.

Very nice variety of digs, and a even better attitude about the day!

I appreciate your perspective. I've been working an old dump sight littered with tons of iron recently. I feel "blessed" just to get a non-ferrous signal. Even shards of copper make me smile : ) I did find a tiny aluminum Bird Band and tracked the serial number down through USGS. It belonged to a mourning dove hatched in 1976 and banded in 1977 about 10 miles from where I recovered it. That was a rather "worthless" recovery but, darn cool being able to locate and identify the critter it was on. Peace.

Very nice, and I also like your way of thinking. There are to many people that look at a hunt as not being productive if they dont find anything. I am usually up and at my places a tad before sunrise, and to just stand there and watch the sunrise, is a beautiful hunt to me. Not to mention all of the birds and wild animals I may see, because I hunt a lot of farm fields.
