I was obviously looking for rings, as I did not find any silver coins last weekend. I found a bunch of clad and a half dozen wheaties, but, no shiny coins.

As soon as I saw this, I knew it was a silver ring. Amazing how the little things make your day.

It's really small, weighs in at only .6 grams, for a melt value of $.35! Please notice that I did not destroy it with the digger! Whew.

I also found two junkers. My superb pinpointing skills allowed me to fold the fake gold one in half, prior to extraction. Perfect T bone shot with the shovel! Skill.

Thanks for looking, and best of luck on your hunts!

Congrats! Law of averages would dictate that I should be up for a ring anytime now on my next park hunt.... it's been too long for me! :( one junker last time but that was it for the last few months

Good day there buddy, you'll do good in my fields if you dig 150 holes there. That spot where I found that German coin in a bezel and a Real has your name on it.

Page 47 of the "how to dig rings" paragraph 1 pretty clearly states "thou shalt not jam shovel into the middle of the ring", or something like that I'm sure. LOL....

Good score on the silver though, even if it can't buy you a pack of gum. LOL.....

Congratulations on the Silver Ring.
When you jammed the shovel into the "Almost" Gold Ring,, we're you using your right foot or left foot to drive the shovel home,,?? lol.

Nice day with the rings!! That little ring might only weigh .6 grams but, I bet that doesn't mean a thing.
Congrats!!

That's a nice one. I found one very similar a couple of years ago.
And remember that silver adds up so every little bit counts....

Nice one Tom! It's funny how shiny stuff makes our day, even with a .35$ melt. I'd take that any day over a clad quarter and clad dime equivalent. Haha. Hope you guys are enjoying spring down there :occasion14:
