Not a bad day today. Found a musket ball and a very old pewter spoon.

Went back to the spot where I found 2 silver Washingtons last week. No silver, but I did grab a couple of good finds. The first was a musket ball about 8 inches down. I'm guessing it's a .44, but it might be slightly larger than that. First musket ball at this spot, so that's encouraging.

The second find was a pewter spoon about 5 inches down. Very small, probably a dessert spoon. Bent and flaking, but at least it's intact. I usually only find the bowl or the handle to pewter spoons, so it's a definite keeper.

The handle appears to be soldered to the bowl, so it must be old. Any guesses as to it's age would be appreciated.
