I wasn't going to post this, but my two kids just make me very proud. So look out everyone, "they" say the next generation is better and smarter.

These two have already dug large cents, barber halfs, and even Spanish silver. Today's spot was a bit unfortunate since the property was a side hall colonial, but we had fun.

Best finds were a 1911 Wheaties and a 1917 Mercury dime.

Cheers, and remember to take those little ones.

Great lookin' kids Scrappy! If they inherit your skills for hoovering treasure out of the ground - in a short time nothin' will be left in the NE and you BOB's will have to come South to do some carpetbaggin' of your own.

Now try taking them out and doing something besides metal detecting, fishing, swimming, camping. Whys it always got to be metal detecting? Charlie is right, spend time with them now while they are young, you are superman to them now, when they get older there interest will change. Gotta get it while the getting is good. Good memories are priceless.

Nice!!! I agree, remember to take the little ones, my daughter now 10, likes going, prefers beach but has found Mercs, Wheatie's etc at a local park. She even goes to some Club meetings with me.

We need to include and inspire our children with this great hobby.

Great post scrappy!!!
