in the mood to take a Brusin' Today I decided to try my 3rd. hunt at
this Church grove.

Been here 2 Years in a row & pretty Much Skunked both Times.
if you don't count a memorial or 2 and a little bit of trash.

not sure of the age but I originally found it using a 1941 Transportation Map

transport41.jpg

church doesn't say how old it is.
but some of the stones in the cemetery look old.

And the Church did Exist in 1848

Oh man, you know that a few people will only see the words Hunt & Cemetery and the fill in the blanks with their own factious ideas as to what you actually wrote.

Before you know you are going to be the mod who dug up a little child and stole their pennies right out of their pocket.

But anyway, seems like a nice enough place to hunt. Have you contact the New York owner of that other church yet to get permission to hunt that place.

Well I hope you get permission to hunt that other church. I always enjoy your hunt post because it is pictures and not video. Good pictures at that and often the history to go with the site, guess I am just old but I will take a picture over a video any day.

That no trespassing sign might just mean; Stay the hell of or come and ask if you want to MD here. Just saying, never hurts to ask.

So, how do you feel when you go hunt for a 90 minute walk and get very little? Do you still enjoy yourself?

Roads have Changed since the 19th Century,
But from all directions I checked.
Everything leads to H. Witmer in 1858

Well if you would have struck out today you might not have gone back for a few years. Now that you found some old loot, you will be back sooner. Way to go...

I was actually Going to spend an Hour there & Move on to another site I had problems at.
But shortly after starting I hit a wheat. My last dig was the Indian in driveway Gravel.
wore myself out getting down to it. (about 4" to 5") after that I was in Pain & the sun was popping out

Been here with Texjim once ,
and twice Myself. was almost as Bad as Urban
But I did find a Piece of silver here.

Downside Grounds Keeper told me he's thrown detectorists out of The Cemetery
on more then one occasion. so the place may Get more attention.

Original Church connected to this one goes back to 1796.

7125686.gif

will also give me the chance to get that name off the no trespassing sign for research
