First decent find in awhile

A different kind of match box....Its a safe...

I've been extremely busy and had little time to detect the last few months. Got out yesterday after work for about 2 hours. My first find was the only one worth sharing. I found this about 8 inches deep. It was just a chirp but I finally got it to register a 68-71 on my AT Pro. Didn't know what it was initially but research says it is a Match Safe.It's got a nice ornate design on both sides and the striker piece on the bottom. Thanks for reading and Hh!

Very hard to find one that isn't crushed or mangled by weight and movement of soil. That is indeed a very sweet find. If you're going to clean it a little more, take your time and be gentle.

Yes, ATW. I almost hit it with my lesche. I can't believe it didn't get hit by a plow all of these years. I'm hoping to take a toothpick to it and clean it a bit more. I don't want to over clean it and compromise the detail, though.

Yes, dirtlooter. I'm hoping I can clean it a bit more. But I'm happy I got it this clean. Took me about 45 minutes just to get it to this shape. Haha.
