Back to my latest "field" of dreams:

I was getting bored/tired and I looked up, asked if
even a penny was out of the question for me today.

Then, I get this hit, high 70's, perfect penny size, I laughed.

so.....I dig:

At the same moment, the clouds parted and the sun shone through
albeit briefly. I looked up, at my partner, and I said aloud,
"Is THAT the best you can do!? A fake penny hit?? :BangHead:

I move on and not 5 feet further I get one of THOSE hits!
The kind where you have to go back and pick up your headphones?
I dig:

That'll "larn" me! :tongue3:
My arms are too short to box with God! LOLOL

Not sure what Fishy is thinking. ;)

A bright spot in the day, looks like the other half
of the "Colts Patent" powder flask, that I found before.

Another bright spot was this button. When I first looked
at it, it appeared to be pretty well gone. Looked like
there were holes eaten thru it.

Evidently, the holes were designed?
The strangest button I think I've ever uncovered.
Complete with a bit of thread!

Feel free to speak up if you recognize the button from anywhere.

I didn't get any coins today but, I got almost 100 grams of sterling in the last
2 visits. So, I'm still floating. ;)

Thanks for peeking, again.

Few more gears and you'll have the whole coo-coo-clock. :laughing7:

100 grams of silver? Whadimiss?

In my own hunts I'm beginning to think that low expectations makes for a happier detecting experience.

I think He was just having a little fun with ya!
...spare the gears spoil the child.

You got the other half (part) of the flask, awesome!

There are other things there. You know well after searching a place multiple times getting nothing, then you hit it again, and out of the blue you get something nice, and wonder how you missed that!

The only problem we have is it doesn't occur on our time table.
There is still something nice there for ya.

Still the walk and anticipation were nice!
