Went out today to do an early hunt, went back to a dump site i have been hunting in for the last year and a half, got a funny signal, kind bouncing around so i dug, It was a 1920,s or 30,s Princess compact, when i picked it up there was a rattle to it, opened it up and was shocked at what was in it, 1..1900 barber quarter and 3 barber dimes 1914..15..16, I was able to also find a 1950,s silver dime, Thats a find of a life time for me...

Yup...that's awesome.
I got about 20 compacts... like others, only broken glass, muddy makeup, or dirt.
Now that I think of it, a 3 Merry Widows with money in it...that would be funny.

Oh man haha! Now that would be something else!

To the OP- congrats on your sweet silver find, that's amazing. Like the others have commented, any compact I have found is only packed solid with dirt or old gross makeup.

I have posted this before. If the signal is off and I mean not what you'd expect for trash or treasure either one, just strange, always dig. It won't always be anything worthwhile, but often enough it will.

That is funny Dave, but somehow I would have to say "You can keep the change!"

Killer man killer, congrats.

Oh, I have found several of the compacts... but mine weren't loaded with Barber coins!

Very well played.
