Last year my top 2 bucket listers were a Flying Eagle Cent or a Capped Bust anything. Neither materialized. Well I guess I was off by one year, at least for the Capped Bust anyway. Found her along an old cart road where I also found my first Seated Quarter a few years ago. It's my oldest US silver! Also pictured are some of my other various finds from this spring, including a vintage sterling Navy ring that someone wore almost smooth. I sure wish I could ID and return but there are no initials. The top of that bell is silver plated but the rest of it appears to be solid silver. No 925 mark so I'm thinking it must be late 1800's or early 1900's. I'm going to test to see if it's chrome or silver plated. Here's the link to YouTube vid to see some other finds if you like. Thanks for looking!

Thanks for looking, and Happy Memorial Day!

Speechless! Nice finds, I love the bell. I love the bust coin too of course, but I dig seeing the little unusual items that people find out there. Congrats on a lucky spring so far,
Steve

Lovely digs, great variety. Congratulations on notching your elusive capped! I also really like the off center dandy pattern.

Good luck on the FE...still got lots of time left this season!

Thanks for the kind words everyone. It sure was a thrill to find it. When I pulled it from the ground it was totally covered with dirt and I could not see what it was. The most exciting part was the short walk to a nearby puddle to dip it in and see what it was...the anticipation was killing me. Man was I pumped. I guess I had the YouTube video as private but I have corrected that now. Here is the link again if you want to see some other recent finds.
