I have not been able to get out much, just a couple of hours here and there, but this is the last few hunts of maybe 2 hours each. Not quite a bushel of Wheats, but 9 from 1919 to 1951. One of the nicest Standing Liberty quarters I have ever dug, 1917 Type 1 with a lot of detail. A 1917 Mercury dime, an 1886 toasted Indian head penny, a small buckle, a small piece of gold plated jewelry, a Boy Scout charm, a gilt button with much of the gilt remaining, marked on the back Waterbury Companies Inc., and a knob to an old lock mech on a safe patented 1876. I kept looking for the safe but no luck on that. The SLQ, 1917 Merc, 1886 Indian, and a 1920 Wheat was found yesterday afternoon on a 2 hour hunt at an old school that has been pounded to death over the years by many hunters, and I had to leave a good signal that was under 3 large roots. It looks IMG_0001.JPG IMG_0014.JPG IMG_0013.JPG IMG_0012.JPG IMG_0011.JPG IMG_0010.JPG IMG_0009.JPG IMG_0007.JPG IMG_0006.JPG IMG_0005.JPG IMG_0004.JPG IMG_0003.JPG IMG_0002.JPG IMG_0015.JPG like it might be a quarter or a half. I am going back with a hatchet to recover that! The reason I have not been getting out much is a major Honey Do project, new kitchen cabinets. Right now I am waiting for countertops so the project is on hold for the time being. Thanks for looking and happy hunting.

Congrats on some really sweet finds.
That SLQ is incredible. Was the SLQ and Mercury part of a spill? Both are sweet finds.

Very unusual to find any SLQ in that condition (xf it's safe to say ) but a type I is a remarkable find - how these got missed by the hoards over the last 40 years is indeed a mystery .

Your SLQ is in absolutely amazing condition. I have only ever found two, and both were pretty much worn smooth. Congrats on some stellar digs.

Those are some amazing finds! That SLQ, which is my personal favorite coin, is at least VF and just incredible- it's tough enough to find one with a date, never mind looking like yours does- Congrats!

They were separated by about 50 feet. The SLQ was found close to some trash. I just heard a nice high sound with the trash, so I dug the trash and then had no trouble iding the SLQ high tone.
Congrats on some really sweet finds.

The others I have found were dateless and worn bad, but I was amazed at the condition of this one.
