I finally got into the 1800's. Found at a neighbor's house that is on a map dating to 1872. 1876 seated liberty quarter.

Yeah, I'll say welcome to the 1800's club! Sweet Carson City minted 1876 Silver Quarter. That's a home run coin for breaking into the 1800's mate. As another member stated & I agree I'd get it graded and slabbed. Fine detail and appears to have some toning as well. Congrats big time buddy.:headbang:

Congrats on making it into the club. Seated quarter with a cc mint mark is the icing on the cake.

Super find! Welcome to the club. I've only found one Seated Quarter and it was also a 1876, but not CC. Anytime silver quarter sized signals ring up my adrenaline goes up and flipping the plug to see it emerge Seated, man that's awesome!! I'd resweep the area. Whenever I have found old pre Washington quarters there were always some other goodies nearby!

I got a nice merc there prior to the seated. The only other interesting find was a Sunoco token from 1962 and plenty of wheat. I just got a new invite to another neighbor's home that dates back to the late 1800's. Can't wait for this one, it's a large yard.

Your first? great!
I've got nickels, dimes, half dimes, pennies, British coins, German..... but no US quarters into that century.
Congrats!
