Hello all hope your out And swinging
The bramvle is thick thick
Hard to hunt spent 5 hours in the woods today with bartek
It was hot and terrain was for Billy goats.
But we did our best , bart scored a nice 1825 capped dime
And lg cent few other items
I dug three coins , clad quarter , clad dime
1863 fatty in decent shape also two buttons
This area has produced many a British coin or item
Today I dug a British royal artillery button
I know it's 1700s but hoping for clarification
War of 1812 or end of rev war.
I read it was put into use at the end of rev war.
Any thoughts. Hh gl thanks for reading

Your best bet is to PM Tnet member Ironpatch. Hell get you some solid info I'd bet. Great button. I've always thought those triple cannon artillary buttons were so cool.

It's quite different than the one in the other pic, but would date around the same.. probably a touch later than the usual type we see posted that seemed to go in use just after the Rev War.

The area this was found was a majior British
Area during the rev war.
The place found has produced
Many a 1700s coin and relic.
The site dates to the rev war

After Rev War, I date this type to circa 1795, which looking at that site (which gets it wrong sometimes) is actually the mid-point.

I can't think of a good reason why people wouldn't visit the site after the Rev War, can you?
