The first site that I went to this morning, a mid-fifties home, didn't produce any silver, but it did produce a few wheat pennies and lots of clad coins. After wasting nearly 3 hours at that site and not being able to find one silver coin, I decided to look for greener pastures.

After riding around for awhile I spotted a young man taking some trash to the street, so I pulled over to have a talk with him. Come to find out, it wasn't his house, it was his grandmother's house. I guess he was there to do some work around the house for her. I don't think his elevator went all the way up, but I did manage to get him to give me permission to detect the yard.

Right off, I got my search coil over a 1942 Mercury dime and then there wasn't nothing but a dozen or so wheat pennies. I figured with that many wheat pennies there had be some more silver coins in that yard, so I grid searched it in a different direction.

I ended up finding 2 Rosie dimes and a Washington quarter. I don't know how I missed them on my first grid search because two of them weren't being masked by anything.

I may hit it again to tomorrow because of all the rain we just got made the digging easy. It won't be long before the ground turns to concrete again.

Thanks Everyone! I've been tied up with taking care of some urgent business. I expect to be out swinging away again real soon.
