Hi there.Been awhile since I posted any finds..I just got better from a back operation and went out on my first day yesterday and found these at an old village from the late 1700's.I see one that is an odd one..Haven't had to chance to look any up yet. These were all found in a 150 square foot area..Old foundations and looks like Yankee basement of some sort. Also few area's that looked like once were wells...I had to go after just and hr or so there do to the weather and my back..I do plan on making another trip in near future..If any one has any insights on these would be greatly appreciated...

Maybe some kids lost them recently while playing with grandpa's collection? I'd go back and see if there was any silver to be found.

Thanks...I will ...These were found in the middle of the woods in an old town that once sat there in late 1700's ..I had them soaking for 2 days in warm water ....They were in a orange clay...Was one of my best finds as far as this many coins in a 150 square ft radius...

I'm happy that you recovered from back surgery!

No idea how those coins landed there. Just to ask a stupid question, are you sure nobody lived in this location after the 18th century?

Thank You was a long recovery ...Not sure...Got the info from an old timer who was 90 ..he said was an old town from the late 1700's but he can be mistaken on the year....As far as I know that town is over grown and does not look like no one has been there since then...

Those are some finds. Flying Eagle, and the first year issue of the Indian Head Penny are in fantastic condition. I don't think your finds were buried for very long.
Congratulations

Wow ! Wonderful finds ! The Flying Eagle is a major bucket lister for most of us , especially in that nice shape . I'm guessing you'll be looking around there a bit more !

Congrats on your finds, especially that Flying Eagle Penny. I have found a few of them over the years, but none of them are in as good a shape as yours. Great coin.

Were these buried? if so it couldn't have been for very long at all. These all look like they've never even smelled the dirt. Congrats!
