Welcome to Treasure Net !!
If the stone isn't real, then probably neither is the band gold.
Take it to your local jeweler and ask about each.
Personally, without a carat indication, I'd say 'not gold'.
Hope I'm wrong on both counts.

Impossible to tell by pictures. A pawn shop or a jeweler will tell you free of charge usually. If that is the only marking inside though it is probably costume.

That is not a bad looking ring. My wife would snatch that up in a second (believe me, she has).
I look at her as a living billboard for my ring finds LOL. (Can you tell she doesn't read these?)
Very nice find though.
Was it dug?

One of the essentials I've found in this hobby is a gold/silver test kit, and you can get diamond testers pretty cheap too. I've never used mine, not because I haven't tried :( So I really don't know if they're simple to use, or just another waste of money. That way when you get home at night after a hunt and do some testing, you can reject or rejoice!

That's definitely a real ring. Can't say if its gold or not, but it looks nice. Good eye find.

I agree with some of the others. Take it to a jeweler to find out for sure. It is a nice looking ring.
