My friend Carl ( owns upstate detectors ) and I went back to the field again this evening. We did not find a ton of things but I did find this Nice copper. She was 8.5 inches down standing on edge. I made my own custom Relic program and let me tell you...She screamed at this coin. I found a Walking liberty Half also when we first got to the site. I left it in Carl's car so I will get it and post pics tomorrow. I found a few buttons...1 nice one with a flower on the front. And part of a shoe buckle..I think. Here is a list of our finds.

1 1788 Conn copper. I think it is this variety... http://www.coinfacts.com/colonial_c...rs/1788_ct_coppers/1788_ct_miller_16.01_D.htm

1 Lead seal
5 buttons
1 shoe buckle piece.. ( I think...Any one know? )
1 1943 Walking liberty Half

Carls finds were
1 colonial...(worn almost smooth)
2 spoon parts
3 buttons

The finds today were slim. It was brutal hot. So we took our time and concentrated on areas where we had shade. The problem is that is the area we have already hammered.

It is a shame there is some corrosion on the front...It would have been in outstanding condition. The back is beautiful...Or reverse and obverse...I do not use the "proper" terms...lol

I messed with the program a bit and let me tell ya...It goes ALOT deeper than it ever has. I do get a few false signals however if your used to the machine you can sort through them very easily.

Thanks Ridley...I had no idea this field would still be producing this kind of finds...It has been doing this for 3-5 years now. It seems like every year we just keep finding more things. This year is my personal best at the field though...However I have found alot of very nice coppers here in the past.

I will PM it to you tomorrow after work. I have my machine all tucked in for the night...I hate to wake her up. I am considering kicking the wife to the couch so my XLT baby can sleep with me...J/K wifey poo ;) ;D
