I found this Cache at the root of a tree shook it heard the coins it was taped shut. I always go on the steep hills in this place cause the U of M college kids would climb up and down them and drop coins Ive found most of my silver on these hills and lots of rings, class rings a platinum ring, many silver rings and tokens ect. I was hoping this thing was stuffed with silver but NOOOOO NOOOOO Lincoln pennies and a few nickels 2 quarters a couple dimes all claddies This was worse than the mason jar I dug at a tree root which was a time capsule for two lovers that took forever to dig it out. I did find a cash 1 dollar bill, a earing silver I'm sure, a flash light , and more clad,, I love this hobby Even though they were recent coins the thrill I had just for those 3 to 4 minutes was Great I did stop and have a smoke before I opened it 20170720_115701.jpg 20170720_115701.jpg 20170720_115748.jpg 20170720_115810.jpg 20170720_115933.jpg 20170720_131851.jpg 20170720_174523.jpg 20170720_174555.jpg 20170720_195135.jpg so I could enjoy the suspense!!!!!!WOOOO HOOOOO Thanks for looking!!!!!!!

Thx Tommy, and yes you're right, I've not posted anything for quite a while...I've got an AWESOME permission that I haven't hunted yet...a good friend got the go-ahead for me and I stopped over last week. She, homeowner, wasn't home but her son was and he had no idea who I was or what I was doing and I actually thought I was going to get whipped with a fishing pole so I slunked out...live to hunt another day! Lol..she still uses a land line, no cell phone, and storms last week knocked her service out so I can't get through. It POURED all weekend here, garage flooded yesterday AND today...ugh...meh..but I'll get there Tommy the sign in the driveway says "1799"....and that's not the address! Lol...thx all..Ddf

Congratulations on your cache. Of course we are crazy! That's a given for all of us. My bucket list isn't just about finds, it is also the places I go. Earlier this year I strapped my gear to my kayak put my waders on, paddled up river, drug the kayak through three hundred yards of marshgrass to get to an island. Found 38 cents in clad, a pair of pliers sitting on a log, and a completely bras shotgun shell. Had a blast!

Awesome find! That feeling you had for the "3 or 4 minutes" before opening it was priceless. During that time it was filled with silver and gold :occasion14: Found spills, but never a cache... awesome job man.

I've done that with compact containers! Haha. Of course they're always empty, but for a couple minutes before I open it, they're filled with coins!

I got a cache of 50 pennies... all modern but the cool part is thinking why someone would bury it! Maybe a kid??? Who knows.

I know exactly what you are saying as I am the same way most people just donโ€™t understand the thrill and excitement of opening a hole up in the ground and pulling any item out regardless of its monetary value keep on diggin bro
