Wow I found this 2 coins basically on the same hole. It gave a nickel signal on my F75 LTD. When I covered the hole again I swinged my detector and it gave a higher signal. When I rechecked the hole out popped this beautiful barber dime. I was very surprised to find these 2 coins on the same hole. Again this is on a site which I have pounded to death. The coins where found right beside a rather young (10-20 year old) tree. So the digging process was quite tough through all the roots. It's so exciting finding old coins on heavily detected areas! sweet recovery on the two. as hot as it is right now, I don't know how good my dealing with roots is, I have been known to mark a spot for digging in better temps

Yes absolutely! Honestly, I have been to 3 different spots. All with great potential as they date back to early 1800's! Nothing was found in all 3 spots! I think and may I conclude that the ground was moved, scraped probably. Not even old nails!!!! So I believe the ground was heavily worked! Too bad! Here are some pics of of one of the old Haciendas (farm house). Enjoy!
