Spent about 2 hours at the park this morning and dug 3 silvers and a wheat penny. The 1896 barber is my oldest dime yet! The 1903 is an O mint as well which is a bit more rare. Actually found all these with my AT Pro and 5Γ—8 coil in an area I hit last weekend with my Etrac. It was very trashy so the smaller coil was a must. I love the combo of etrac and atp I don't think coins can escape both of them. This makes 13 silvers FTY.

Have you tried Bills trashy park program on your E-trac? I have yet to see with my own eyes coins an At-pro can find that an E-trac can't.

Very nice silvers no matter what machine gives you results.

Yes I have bills trashy park program loaded up and I use it quite a bit. I do feel like I miss stuff with that program though which may or may not be all in my head. I generally like to run more wide open. That could be due to the fact that I really learned coin shooting with the at pro in pro zero mode listening to every single sound. It could be the smaller coil or it could be the fact that I am a bit more seasoned with my AT Pro than the etrac. Or it could just be luck of getting the coil over the coins just right on the second trip out. I really love the etrac and the depth is definitely better. It is really hard to outperform the at pro with small coil in trashy areas though. These coins where all around 4 inches deep as well so not really deep.

Sometimes I think I just get numb to some of the sounds from either detector or mentally fatigued and switching up the detector and the sounds awakens my senses again and I hear things I was missing. I have had good luck hitting old pounded areas with each detector one after the other. I would never give up either detector at this point I love them both.

Thanks! I have gone over a month of detecting without silver around here as well. Hitting pounded parks can be rough lol. I just happened upon some fairly fresh ground in this old park. I plan on going back there are many good signals I beleive hiding in the trash there still.

That is a fantastic short hunt! Awesome silvers, I love seeing finds from parks. At pro is a great secondary detector to the Etrac, waterproof and awesome in high trash with that small coil as you well know! :) Gratz!
