Hey all!

Had the opportunity to hunt a late 1600's farm again last night, and came up with my first ever crotal bell. Or at least, half of one. It's big!

Also got three wheats (1928, 1934, 1938), a french suspender buckle from "CH GUYOT" (thanks to another thread on treasurenet for the id), a pair of older Hot Wheels toys (it figures they'd be farm equipment, right?) and two buttons.

One of the buttons has chevrons on the reverse and says "GILT", although whatever gilt it once had has been lost to time. The other is toasted beyond recognition... but hey, who doesn't like to find buttons?

VERY psyched about the crotal bell! It came out of the ground looking exactly like this - no cleanup required.

Nice bell fragment! Although there are exceptions, that's likely a 18th century bell, perhaps mid century or later. As far as fragments so, that one is beautiful!

By gosh, I think we found the other half of your crotal bell on our 1600s farm. Same design--Too funny! Keep digging up those great finds. Congrats.
