I usually leave the beach combing for winter freeze up but the tides were perfect today so I left the detector in the car and went on an eyes only hunt. There have been some aggressive tides lately so that usually stirs things up and erodes the banks back. Found a beautiful late Victorian salt glaze pot completely intact. Even took an insitu pic in the side of the bank. Other notables were the 1897 glass mold, ox blood marble and the crystal tear drop...which really captures the sun!

Tides coming I so heading to the fields now...hope to have another post later tonight. Thanks for looking!

Great post on the value and potential of "eyes-only" relic hunting. Some interesting finds there - thanks for sharing!

Can't believe all those bottles are intact. That salt glaze jar is a beauty.

Shoreline hunting is always fun. Looks like you had a nice time with your off-season hunt, and made some cool finds too.

Those are some great eyeball finds. Anytime you can find glass or pottery that isn't broken its a great find.
