Musket ball cut into a gaming die!

I think this is so cool. It looks like a musket ball was cut square and then someone used a square nail to make the markings in it. One of my favorite pieces. Thinking it is 1700's. Found in a field with colonial period relics. Also dug a mass militia button! And a heart rosette from the Civil War. Fun day out digging

That's really cool. Ive only seen one other die like that and it was found at a civil war site in Virginia.

That is a sweet find congrats. I thought i found a flattened musket ball poker chip last year but it turned out to be a big bale seal. Very nice find!!

Love the feel of real history in a find like that -- it pulls you right back to when some guy crafted it and it's tremendously interesting. Congrats!

got a bunch of game pieces at the 1686 Chambers farm in Kingston, NY. none fashioned into a die. my last was a 1/8 round ball. NICE FIND. :icon_thumleft::icon_thumright:
