Hit the same farm again, got some newly cleared areas to poke through. Only one coin, 1911 wheat, but managed a few other interesting things. I was really hoping the locket had something inside, turned out to be a blank piece of paper. Maybe there was an image at one time but it's gone now.

The cat face trivet was a HUGE signal. Sounded so good, but too big to be a coin. I was surprised when the cat emerged haha, wasn't expecting that! Could have been used as an ashtray, more likely a trivet, or trinket bowl. I've seen these dated from the 1920's - 1960's, but this farm was abandoned in the 1940's so I'm leaning to it being an early one.

Hopefully there's some more silver around there somewhere, I'm gonna keep working it.

Thanks for looking and happy hunting ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1503724586.119576.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1503724626.323698.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1503724660.103680.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1503724691.288106.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1503724716.521733.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1503724743.094969.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1503724778.742591.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1503724803.279442.jpg

Could the cat have been an ash tray? Anyway still a great find. Congrats.

I'm a cat guy, have 3 who take care of me - provided I scoop their poops, keep their bowls full, and keep my lap ready for a few minutes of petting.

So, your cat "whatever it is" is pretty danged cool!

Thanks for the comments everybody. I think this is the first thing I've dug up that my wife said "I love it, clean that up and we can put it on display!".
