What is up TNet.Finally got a chance to get out detecting a bit..It's been quite while since i got out!Headed out to a
Cellar Hole i found on a hiking trail..As soon i got upon it the usual dig holes left open all over the place..WTF..
That didn't stop me for soon i got a Large cent..Than the 2 Steere brass heads side by side..I'm not sure what these are for
i was thinking old toy guns or something like that? They look more modern that the Largies? This Cellar was a monster about 30x60
which would have been a large house at the time..Strangely enough i got no buttons at all! Some Indian heads and a Native American charm more modern.
Any one know anything about the flag pole top?looks like it has a coat of arms or seal on it?At least i think its a flag pole top?
Not many stone walls and way out there even today i can only imagine back then..Strange site with spotty finds..It's been hit good but i scratched out a few.
I have been researching a bit and soon will hit many early Cellars..The season is just about here..Good luck out there!

Nice going on the coppers and buckle. The cone thingy is an interesting item, have you tried a rubbing(paper & pencil) to see if you can see what's on it more clearly. Well done, congrats on the finds.
I agree on whats with the holes left, some have no respect for this game. Karma will get them when they turn their own ankle in a dug hole.

That's a fantastic hunt. Especially following the DB's that left their plugs wide open with no shame.:violent1: Love the old coppers large and small. The Longhorn thingies are very cool. Very sweet old looking buckle. The tip thingy is way cool too even if it remains a mystery for now. They never get it all and yes, I hope karma bites them on their arse!:protest::cussing:

....Could the steere heads have been Bolo tie jewelry ?
Great area to hunt !

Great lead man this property was an old Boy Scout camp in the early 1900's so i believe they may be for a Neckerchief..
