....Looks to me a part of a "shaker grate" from a pot belly stove. As you rattled the handle (shown) , the ashes would drop below into a pan.
Others may have differing opinions....what is the size ?

The portion I found looks to be just a segment the rest would have continued in a circle shape...maybe 12 inches in diameter
