Just to show that I don't *always* pull out mega quarters

when I go a cladding:

2017 (637).jpg

I do seem to almost always cross a clad quarter or three. :tongue3:

But, even though I did not find a whole heck of a lot today....

2017 (638).jpg

Cuz of the surrounding area's contaminations,
this lovely lil piece rang up at a roaring 39 on the ATP!
I think I saw it more than heard it.

...somehow....I'm not feeling too bad about it. ;)
(10k to boot!)

Thanks for peeking!

I would not be surprised if that crucifix was a gift. Nice job finding it.

Whadi, A complete 10k gold crucifix is something to be proud of . Perfect VDI for that little guy too. Now I have deduced, when the loop link is still attached to the top of the pendant, the neck chain broke. So the gold neck chain is still out there, probably hiding in the 30-40 VDI. Shall ye return and find such chain? I would love to see a heartwarming chain-and-pendant reunion story. Congrats, Sub 8-)

I know what your saying, Sub. But, my experience has been that the tiny chain that would've gone with this would more than likely hang on the clothing long after the break. Can you imagine trying to detect one of those TINY lil gold chains!?! LOL

I did strain my eyeballs trying though. :dontknow:

Yep. Nickles, gold, pull tabs, can slaw, and various other pieces of "basura" are all in that range.
Sometimes, I dig everything I hear. Sometimes.....just the "high squeaks". What I do is come back
another day and do a "low squeak" hunt. ;)

But, whatever type hunt I'm doing, I've trained my ear to listen for a certain type of low hits. Not likely that a
ring will slip by. ;)

My goodness!! Look at how *TINY* that cross is!!! I found that! LOL

Six of one, or one of another!
That is one sweet find! Congrats!

Those two will have to share.

That is a dandy 39 for sure!
Yes that chain would be a lot harder to find, even if you got the coil over the clasp. Doable, but hard.

That was one very nice walk.

Congrats on your 10k find Whadi. It would take a lot of clad to go purchase that crucifix.

Ya know...I was thinking about that too. I figure it's at the least worth about 200 quarters. ;) (but it's priceless to me!)

As an aside, I've also had a thought about why I don't find as much silver coins. Something to do with ..."thirty pieces of silver" ? :dontknow:

Yep! Gotta remember, the detector has to deal with more than just the make up of the target. It ain't "gospel" , if ya knowaddameanvern. ;)

Now, here at home, it air tests at 50-53. :)
