Hello,

Philip and I went out on the weekend, total 93 coins with 6 wheat (1913, 1914, 1939, 1945, 1946 and 1949 )penny, also I find a 1999 Jefferson 5 cents Nickel, after clean up, I find out that nickel have a over mint marked P over D or Double Die mint marked P/P, because I never hear any over mint marked in 1999 nickel, so I take a picture hope someone can verify for me is this a Double Die P/P or over mint Marked P over D.
And what the value?
Thank you

Total 93 coins $4.53

Sam from Brooklyn

If it were strike doubling, there would be more than just the mint mark doubled, I would think.

Neat find though!

Sure looks like a d over p, but the question is if this is a known error. I'll try to check it out.

Sam, it looks like a P over a P to me. Take it to a coin shop and see what they tell you. I wouldn'tsell it to them until you have someone else check it out, too. Nice find either way.
K'em coming and good luck
