Hey folks,

I saw an article in the newspaper about a house one block away from me that's slated to be destroyed and replaced with two houses on the lot. I did some research and found the house was built in 1904. I sent the new owner an email explaining the hobby, showed some photos of some finds from the neighborhood, and asked if he'd be okay with me detecting there.

He said sure and thanks for asking! I didn't have a long time today, maybe an hour and a half, but I wanted to see what it had in store. I found five wheat pennies, all in a 10' x 10' area in the parking strip. The rest of the parking strip and the 15 minutes I spent in the front yard didn't yield anything else. I've definitely got some more ground to cover in the front and back yards. The pendent had a decently high VDI but there are no markings so I don't think it's silver.

The wheat penny dates are: 45-S, 46-S, 48-S, 53-D, 54-D

Thanks for looking and luck in the hunt!
