So today I was doing a very short hunt in the woods. The founds I was hoping to find was 1700's to mid 1800's relics and all I was founding was bottle cap after tin after bottle cap and so on, until I dug another bottle cap signal but deeper this time under a root. I got a silver coin! I would never expect to find a silver coin in these woods when all the good things i'm finding is coppers.

It's only 40% silver but i'm happy to find one at an old place. It's a Swedish '1 Krona' from 1967.

Was there a global conspiracy going on in the mid-late 1960's where all the countries decided collectively to remove all the silver from their coins? In early 60's most nations still had relatively pure silver coins, then by late 60's it was down to about 40% then by 1970 it was 0%.

I have thought about that and in Sweden we got rid of our small silver coins in 1962 the 1 krona in 1968 but we still had an rarer 5 kronor until 1972. I think the problem was because of economy issues and the rise of the silver value.

silver coins are prized even though some have less than others, still a silver coin and still desirable (to most of us) :icon_thumleft:

It's the bankers. They are Satan's spawn. They sit on mountains of Gold & Silver and give us paper and clad. :cussing::protest::angry9::protest::angry4:
