Maybe this should be moved to the dumpster diving forum, ya think?

2nd that, treasure hunting and dumpster diving, not much in common.

Dumpster diving is a form of treasure hunting.

Dumpster diving is a form of treasure hunting.

I disagree, it is more like scavenging than treasure hunting.
[I have made a few dives in my day, wouldn't care to make a career out of it]

In any case, there is no less than a separate, dedicated sub forum for those interested in rummaging through dumpsters, he should obviously use it.

Dumpster Diving

edit: just noticed OP is a prolific poster on the dumpster subforum as well - Posting the same thing in multiple forums is no less than spamming for clicks IMO

Nobody is active on the dumpster diving forum, this is the only way I can ever get peoples opinions...

No prob J, if there is an issue with posting in improper/multiple forums here, its above my pay grade.

I'm a bit jaded with sensationalized youtube videos be it mind blowing beach finds or dumpster diving, guess my best bet is to just ignore them.

Not sure what kind of "opinions" you are looking for, but thats mine.

You can always just scroll past what doesn't interest you... I do it all the time lol And whether you're digging in dirt, sand, trash, water or whatever it be, it's all the same stuff and the same thrill!

"Todays Finds" usually interests me, but not when its sensationalized youtube dumpster spam.
What next, we going to have people posting videos here of diving trash cans for returnable bottles, sheesh.

You said it yourself - You are not getting enough attention in the dedicated dumpster forum, so you feel compelled to post where the action is at ... To get "opinions", mmm hmmm.

Nobody talks in the other forum. Besides what I have posted in there, the only posts are extremely old, so it's no fun... I have posted tons of videos on "todays finds", and have had lots of people enjoy them, and I've enjoyed talking with them, so I don't see what the big deal is...It's brand new merchendise that people pay top dollar for, absolutely free, that's definitely treasure to me.

OK, I'll bite. Didn't watch your your video, as I rarely watch one's even in the field I'm interested in, however, I have an opinion;
Keep doing it, but save time by not videoing it.

It's fun to record, because I enjoy doing it so much, and talking to people who also dive or enjoy watching others dive because they don't want to do it their selves. Recording and uploading it just gives me a way to find and interact with other people who enjoy the same stuff as I do. That's all honestly.

There is no big deal, just when I think we have this wrapped up you come back for more.
You said you wanted interactions and opinions, right ? So don't begrudge me of mine.

Suffice it to say, if you asked 100 random people on the street what constitutes "treasure hunting", I seriously doubt if even 1 would say dumpster diving.
Jeff has said its Ok, thats good enough for me - And as 1320 has said, if you want to encourage competition and aspire to be the top youtube dumpster diver, then have at it.
