You can imagine I was pretty excited when I found it! David won two of them in a raffle at our treasure club meeting the week before and this one is older AND in nicer condition than either of the two he won. This was one of my favorite treasures from this storage unit.
I also kinda like that doll that I posted in a different area http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,102414.msg747174.html#msg747174 Hopefully I can find out more about her. We really did well on this unit unlike the one that had 7 or 9 trips to the dump in it a couple of months ago! lol

Hello Mr. C!
I'd say that was a pretty nice find. And, according to my 2008 Red Book worth at least $8.00 in VF-20 condition!

so true! You never do know what you are going to get....that is why the boxes are always what causes David to bid higher! lol He keeps thinking of what all can be in the boxes...he says they call his name! Everyone that is a regular at the auctions has started calling David the box man! :D So far we have done very well with the storage units. :D

Sure appreciate everyone's comments. Such a cool find I just had to share it with ya!

that is a great coin. I recently visited my mother and she gave me 20 of the Indian head pennies. I about fell over when she pulled them out of a drawer in her jewelry box and dumped them in my hand. They are very nice coins and you truly deserve it.

Thanks

I'll say you got the Macro setting down, that's a great shot of the obverse on that indian!!

Great little surprise too, finding those coins.

Just curious, do you ever get anything else interesting from the storage auctions?

Happy Hunting / Auctioning

We get all kinds of interesting goodies in the units! You would not believe what people leave behind! I have a few Tnet folks that get pics of pretty much everything...they kinda go with me huh sis! lol I send Country Girl a photo tour and she gets mighty cross if I somehow forget the camera! lol Here is another goodie we got not long ago....Sterling silver, gold accents and rubies.....who would leave this trophy behind?? :o
