I got out yesterday for a quick hunt while my son was in soccer practice. Its getting colder here and the ground will freeze. I enjoy posting on today's finds so here is my treasures from yesterday. The blob of alluminum was a token, you can still read miners. The copper bowl is all there I may try to restore it someday! I am not sure what the iron piece is, maybe a grandfather clock part. Thanks for looking, Happy Hunting!!!! 0927170756_HDR-1.jpg 0927170757-1.jpg

Thanks for the posts! I love when you find a big patch of dirt that you can tell was a big trash dump. Anything can pop out. You never know what will come out of the ground. I think I had gone over this spot when I first started detecting. I can't wait to go over it with my new detector when it comes out!!!!

That green copper bowl is cool as heck. I absolutely LOVE green patina on copper, brass, bronze items. It just says COOL! Might be some more treasure in that trash heap.:icon_thumright:

Awesome Dutch plate...that token would bug the heck out of me...I would try searching towns nearby with "miners good for token" and see if anything comes up. I found two aluminum tokens melted together and only could identify a couple words, never did figure it out...good luck

Thanks for the posts and the ID Charlie. They are a pretty good match. I bet seeing that come out of a hole was pretty exciting! I have about three of 4 melted aluminum that you can partially read too bad they melt so easily!
