Got in a early morning river hunt with bill this morning. Ended up with a pretty cool blue medicine bottle and 1910 d Barber dime, to wheat cents, 1937 Buffalo nickel and a musket ball. I love the blackened patina from the water on the silver. Thanks for looking and hh! 20170930_113917.jpg 20170930_113903.jpg 20170930_114322.jpg 20170930_113238.jpg

Yep, I just dug a couple dimes out of a ballfield that had that same type look. Normally the field is pretty soggy where I found them, but it's dry as a popcorn fart right now...
Those are some quality finds right there,I'd be going right back to where they came from. Love the bottle too!

It was a nice day along the river. Cool breeze, overcast skies, fall foliage starting to change colors. My kinda scenery! Thanks!!

Nice collection of finds, wet or dry.
Any history (that you can mention) of the river site?
Don't do much river detecting here in Denver, lowered lakes, and mud holes when it rains.
I like the Cajun sounding cooking title as well, got me hungry.
Kudos!
Carl

Sweet dime. And I also like those musket balls. Most folks could care less about them but those can be pretty old. I found 8 of them in a field from a battle which took place in 1735 over in Germany.

Water can be pretty rough on coins. Blackened silver is cool in my book. Love the old blue medicine bottle too. Just the right assortment of keepers to make a great day!:headbang:
