I don't pretend to have knowledge of Robert Cruickshank , or of silver fur trade relics , but it would not surprise me if this is a Banner worthy find . I will be curious to see what others have to say about this find !

Sad, this find doesn't get the attention it deserves... A truly historical find!

So true your statement is, and it would be so sat this amazing piece of history isn't given it just due.
Congrats Guy on this great recovery and one the nicest pieces I've seen! Digging any Trade Silver would be just great and so high on the want list, but to dig a piece as sweet as this-well it would totally top one of most bucket list wants. My hat goes off to you sir-and my vote is in for you as well. Thank you for sharing this one with us.

Just the way of the world, no biggie.

Its funny because I know very little about the over the pond history but even I've heard of this maker.

I agree, but it's very unfortunate that the Fur Trade period receives so little attention. If it wasn't for the Fur Trade the history of North America wouldn't be the same and countries like U.S. and Canada I believe wouldn't exist at least not within their present borders.
