Toe Ring Finds.JPG

Yesterday was one of those hunts where I lose track of time and don't want it to end. I was so much in THE ZONE that I wound up swinging and digging for 6 & 1/2 hours.
The toe ring next to the Silver 1946-D dime was crumpled up and had to be unraveled which made it a very small target. The biggest surprise of the day was the dime. Despite its being the oldest of the 75 coins I found it came out of the loamy type soil looking the newest. No cleaning whatsoever was necessary so it's pictured as it came out of the ground. Incidentally, 1946 was the first year they issued the Roosevelt Dime which boosts it to a bucket lister.
The clad is stacked by denomination and the 74 coins totaled $3.26. The park where it all came from is HUGE and it seems untouched by other T-Hers because it's so target rich. Given its size I'm sure there's still so much more out there to be found....

Sweet finds! I like the "Specialist" (E-4) Army rank find...hope that soldier realized that they lost before the next random uniform inspection :)

Nice park run! Are the toe rings gold?

The markings inside the toe ring on the upper left were somewhat obliterated so I bent it open for a better look. After some polishing and serious magnification I was able to make out: "18K O F".
So my marathon park hunt just turned "Golden". There were no markings on the one next to it although it was very pliable which explains why it was crumpled up.

Pretty hard for me to find a real gold toe ring. They dont make many from real gold because they get lost so much. Nice find on that one congrats !! I was wondering about it because it looked real in the pic. Had That nice warm 18k gold glow !!
