Got out up north with my buddy dave . Three permissions that were hit by others in the past, the finds were bleak but I managed to find the 75th piece of silver for 2017. It's a sterling pin with what appears to be gold on it as well, 4 wheats and some other odds and ends. As much as I love this hobby it's tough to admit that permission is getting harder and harder to get 😣 20171019_160515.jpg 20171019_155214.jpg 20171019_160706.jpg 20171019_160640.jpg

Nice finds! Speaking of Old Dude, where has he been? Don't think I've seen a post from him in quite some time.

Trust you to pull silver from a pounded site! Way to go, it's a very interesting looking piece. The rusty piece above the key looks like a colonial pull-tab! Congrats on getting out, and scoring some fine keepers and getting out with a friend...it doesn't get any better than that...Ddf

Nice going on the sterling pin. Hope you get over the permission slump, it makes for undue stress in getting out for a hunt.

Awesome finds and I have to agree about the permissions getting harder and harder. The line I have heard the most in the past couple months has been, “I would let you BUT.....I’m thinking of getting a detector to do it myself.”

BTB, I'm liable to be in the neighborhood next week.

Good job!

thanks Gary LOL Believe It or Not Dave got us a really good permission, well it looked like a good permission just void of signals

Thank you that is rather frustrating when they say maybe you could come back but you're 3 hours away from home LOL
Nice finds and best of luck with the door knocking ...:icon_thumright:

Well, tell him he's still thought of here, and if he ever finds a war nickel, its mandatory that he post it. I'll give him a banner vote for that.
