Finally got out n pounded the turf. I went back to the spot I got the seated and barber half dollars and used the AT pro with the 8x11 in the iron areas , near the electric and the edges of the garden where the big coil wouldn't go. I immediately found three large cents. Unfortunately they are all damaged I suspect right before they went in the ground. I hit the edge of the farm field and got a buffalo and an early dateless Lincoln which I haven't cleaned up.
I then went to a huge field that was recently plowed. The farmers were harvesting across the road and it was dusty but hey are clearing all my permissions!!! There was a house there (1890) and I went from memory as to the location. Memory did not serve and only when I got home did I see how close I was to the potential action. All I got was trash signals so I aimlessly walked the field which was really clean. Every signal was a button or buckle and I was getting a little antsy as there should be coins around. Finally I walked the 1/2 plus mile across the field to the far side and got a shallow " button" signal which turned out to be a tiny silver coin. First I thought it was a trime but its a half dime. Its in great shape- a bit weathered but without a scratch. I love seated coins and half dimes are one of my favorites, right behind Spanish silver.
I spiraled out from that find and found a cool pin from the same period (not pictured) . Then darkness fell ad I headed home. I got a load of buttons and buckles but I am after the reales and seated liberties that I know I'll find with enough patience. Now that some of the better spots are cleared I can't wait to get back at it. I'll post the buttons and buckles when I get them cleaned up but wanted to post the good stuff first. Thanks for looking and best of luck out there!

You are very blessed to have such old sites to hunt.
