Despite the scorching heat today, I decided to take off and go to the old park I've been hunting for a couple of years. I usually come back with a wheat or two, and if I'm really lucky, something silver or an indian. Today, I had the highest quantity of old coins ever from this park in one trip. I credit this to the 12.5" coil I put on my machine. So far, I am really liking it! To be fair though, this was all found in a spot that I hadn't hit much with my smaller coil before. These all came from a spot that I guess would measure 30' X 40' in a park that is usually pretty stingy about giving up keepers.

I am amazed at how well the indian cleaned up. I didn't think it was going to turn out this good. I can't wait to see what else is in the area!
