    That really is an amazing find, especially since you found the whole thing. There should be more of the animal there (bones, the other tusk, teeth, etc.) so I would highly recommend doing some more digging around the spot where you found the tusk. That is a banner find-my vote is in.

    Great find. You might make getting it properly preserved a priority. I know of one found in a quarry near here and was given to a friend of mine. He put it up in a cabinet and just left it alone. When he went back to get it it was a pile of dust. Just a thought.

    I know what you are saying. Found quite a few fossils, teeth,bonesin the past. This is a first & the coolest. I've done well with my other things I've found. But for sure I what to get it right as best I can.Click image for larger version.
