In one of the oldest parks around here, lots of this park is a small steep mountain with woods where people have been tromping around since the 1880's.
You never know what you will find up there.
The bugs are gone and the green stuff is dying back so time to get in there and hunt and try our luck.
Yesterday I came across this spill which made me happy.

Actually looking for Barber coins, V nickels and dimes so getting closer.

That 37 buff is a D mint but alas...it has four legs.
Next time.

These are very attractive finds - well done! The date on that 37 is especially nice, given how much the Buffaloes wear down easily. Congrats on your success! :occasion14:

That is unusual to find a clearly dated buffalo, looks good. Need to get your mountain goat boots on and detect up the side of the mountain, sometimes the hardest to detect spots are the best, especially around here.

Very well done. Your soil is very kind. I wish Buffalo nickels came out of the ground looking like that around here. They come out of the ground colored red in our area.
