Hi jorge del norte.
I started out with 17.1 grams. I got back a 10 gram ring and a 5 gram button.
The casting tree that I gave him weighted in at 1 gram, he seemed confused that he was missing so much. So to tell you the truth, I really don't know, or to my calculations he lost 1.1 grams. Please see my illustration.

most jewelers gain some gold.....when making a ring.......but at least you got the button!
I think you lost around 20.00 bucks worth.....still not bad....nice ring!!!!!!
