I’m always envious of those beautiful full liberty, green patina Indian Head Pennies some folks dig. Mine are almost always pretty crusty. But today I finally got a good one, and an 1876 too!

This coin has it ALL! BOLD full Liberty, four diamonds showing on the head dress running down the shoulder. CLEAN EVEN beautiful deep jade green patina. Who could ask for more?:dontknow: This coin right here is the ONE I love to dig above all others. I don't get many silver coins and when I do it's a quick thrill and they go into a box. When I get an Indian in similar condition as this ultra fine specimen I keep it out to drool over what a magnificent design it is and how nature can turn it into a true GEM! BRAVO! They just can't get much better than THIS ONE! I know it would never be considered banner material but, I'll vote for it anyway. Love this COIN!:love10::icon_salut:

I've only found one that wasn't crusty too. Mine was found under a porch tear-out. must not have gotten any moisture under there. Nice date! That has some value to it. :icon_thumleft:

I wouldn't hesitate giving him $200.00 bucks for it without a thought. That would be a steal and I think it's more valuable than that. If it were mine I'd consider having it graded and slabbed. Not many "lowly" Indian Head Cents get that treatment I reckon.

So nice. Must’ve been dropped as nearly new but how it weathered uncrusted is a mystery. Congratulations!
