I went out solo on Saturday for a little walk around a park-like site. I got a lot of trash and assorted nonsense, which I won’t show you.

Here is the hand full of coins that made it into the pouch.

Here are the 10 wheaties, funky lion cuff link, flower pin and “toy” hammer head. In the modern world no parent would give their child a little metal hammer. Think about it, there is nothing good that could possibly come from this toy. I miss the good old days...

As soon as I saw this I recognized it, as I’ve found one before. It’s a butterfly clutch, the back to a WW2 medal. I have two clutches, zero medals, dang.

When this target popped out, I thought it was junk, but it had that silver look to it.

A bit of cleaning revealed a nice little Vancouver charm.

Both pieces are marked Sterling!

I got tired of digging Sterling, so I switched the Deus from 925 to 900, and went looking for a silver coin. Sure enough...

When I opened this hole, shiny George greeted me.

Scoring three silvers really made for a nice day.

YTD silver coins: 54
YTD 925: 18

Thanks for looking and good luck on your hunts.

Our hero, Smittyman, had Christmas light duty yesterday. Dang new fanged Edison bulbs...

He is great to hunt with, easy going, good natured and misses the good targets. That’s a real friend.

Nice going on the silvers, and soon as I eyed the Maple Leaf laying in the dirt photo I thought "gee that looks familiar" It's a long ways from its home the charm is.

Oh, well, you could have made $ yesterday. The Basstrds would have paid you $50 to film Smittyman hanging Christmas lights. Hell, it would have likely gone viral

I believe the Maple Leaf is a syrup company logo or something like that...

I got an iPad about a month ago, so I can post from the comfort of my home now, instead of just at the office.

The (four day)Thanksgiving holiday hunts went well, I got 5 silver coins, and 3 silver jewelry items. Not too bad for a public spot.

See you soon brother!
